The new GF and I(Perfect match I kid you not) are trying to buy this $800 Fox Body!!
Lemme explain. When I first met her last month, I showed her that $800 CL post for that Mustang II. She’s Mustang crazy, and was pissed when it sold the day before I showed her. I found this one today, and, if it’s got little to no rust, we’re buying it! As in she’s paying for it, and I’m bringing it back haha!! This is fun! ^_^
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
In fact, as I typed this, I was talking to the owner on the phone, it’s a pretty much green light and I’m going to check out the car tomorrow evening! :D

Yesssss, do it. Looks pretty good to me for $600 or so...look for rust around the sunroof, I had an ‘85 Capri and it rotted out around the sunroof.

$800?
I wouldn’t think twice! Looks like it may have been a 2.3 car originally. That’s good news for the Torque Boxes and you!
Nice find!

This ones pretty much rust free, only a small bubble on the hatch which will be easy when we repaint it.

At first I thought you guys were mixing finances already and was going to yell at you. But then I read the post. That sounds like it could be a fun project for the both of you!

Always good. Also, grab the VIN and do a Carfax or similar on the miles...a buddy of mine had an ‘85 that he claimed as having 20k miles, but was clearly a 120k mile car. Not that it really matters a ton with the new engine. Fox bodies are fun little cars, easy to work on...I’m going to be in the market for one myself in a month or so. Good luck with it if you grab it, at that price I don’t see much downside...I’m looking at one for the same money out here that lacks an engine, transmission, rear axle, and title.

I’ve been wanting a fox body so bad as of late, you’re lucky! Good luck, I hope you guys do some cool stuff with it. Plans?
Now excuse me while I search Craigslist the rest of the day.

As far as we know, we’re gonna rebuild with the parts we’ve got, it’s pretty much all there, and we’re gonna carb it and drive!

Is there any other kind? I’ll get back to you once I’ve got the SHO on the road and Gbody’s Olds gets here.

Putting the 302 in the 924 is a bold statement.

This seems like a FANTASTIC idea given your history working on your engine. And I cannot possibly recommend something like this more to a month old relationship! That'll be great for sure!

Except I don't have a 924!! :)
